An integral part of this effort is the strategic Investment Resources unit of our Zinqular team. Working alongside our investment professionals, this team delivers strategic, planned, tactical and operational support to Zinqular investment teams and portfolio firms.
Our Principles & Approach
In simple terms, Zinqular’s investment principles is to collaborate with great firms and management teams, providing them with capability, tools and resources to create value and grow. Our worldwide investment resources team helps to translate our “living & agile Zinqular” culture into services and capabilities supporting our investment process and portfolio firms. This team collaborates with our investment professionals and advisors, including senior executives and advisor consultants, to generate value during the investment lifecycle (even during recession window). This ensures that our worldwide network, deep industry expertise and operational knowledge are applied to our investments and companies.
Our resources for example includes trusted global valuation and corporate finance partners with expertise in complex valuation, dispute consulting services, to mention a few.
In general our worldwide investment resources provides tactical, strategic and operational support to Zinqular investment teams and portfolio companies in two key areas i.e. Transaction and Portfolio Family of Resources & Tools.
Transaction Area: For investment teams, this means working with trusted internal advisors who can deliver: insight and data on historical transactions during diligence; competitive positioning in a bid process; and differentiated revenue growth or performance improvement opportunities that leverage Zinqular’s resources. This team provides Zinqular’s investment experts with project-based support and technology tools to leverage the firm’s resources and relationships generating a competitive edge in deal sourcing, diligence and deal execution.
Portfolio Area: When Zinqular invests in a portfolio firm, the team offers a line-up of value-added capabilities and services that is customized to support the investment. Our team’s center of attention is on strategy development, revenue growth, performance enhancement and corporate intelligence & support.
- Strategy Development: We work directly with portfolio company management, the team supports business development strategy.
- Revenue Growth: The team supports planning new customer acquisition and international market expansion.
- Performance Enhancement: Our team provides resources to portfolio firms to create value through operational performance enhancement and leveraged purchasing support including: negotiating master service agreements and preferred vendor relationships that leverage the scale of Zinqular’s portfolio; and developing and disseminating best practices for shared areas of cost such as indirect purchasing, information technology, infrastructure & energy, labor, and insurance & treasury.
- Group Insight & Support: Portfolio firms have access to Zinqular’s advanced analytics capabilities, internal research, communications and public affairs teams on issues relating to macroeconomic prediction and changing regulatory environment
